You'd be surprised.

When I take Solomon to the village for lure hunting, I find I can generally luck hit at least one out of every three enemies we kill, sometimes more. The other night, I was pretty close to tagging 75% and everything there is a vanq for me.

I'd also imagine that a younger healer would be able to tag enemies with their pet that would grant exp.

Pet only has to get last hit to count for pet improvement. Healer gets tag experience if they get experience anyway.

Yep.

If the pet gets the last hit, you'll receive a message saying, "________ killed a _____." and the message "You slaughtered a ______." right after it.

If the pet tags but doesn't get the last hit, you only receive the 2nd message. It's extremely hard for Solomon to lastie an estuary critter (though I did steal a lastie from Talas once, oops) but he does tag fairly well.

That said, I wouldn't want to bring him on any estuary hunts but the luring hunts in the village because the estuary has no junk for him to kill. He's amazing in places like Metz where there's loads of junk that he can be killing so the fighters don't have to.

Also i miss mentioning some other commands like follow or play (but they are not really important).

Yeah, I figured I'd stick with the basics but I also made sure to focus on how pets can be used in the high-end play.

My goal with this video was threefold: first, I wanted to create a video that a "retired" healer might see and say "Oh, that looks fun!" and return to the game. Second, I wanted to see how well I could make a video like this, including my new studio setup and learning to use Lightwave (which is easily the best free video editor I've ever seen), and if the video would generate any attention for CL.

Lastly, I wanted to ensure Slarty knows just how much I love what he did for the game.

I also left out some important things, like which pets grow and which don't, but I figured I can leave some questions to ask.

I'm working on being able to make a living from voice acting alone, but that'll take some time, still.

Like the received xp is stored upon disconnect of the clicker and if the pet "departs" the xp gained from last pet-login(or rank) to death is wasted?
Can only find out such things with numbers, progress bars and such things...

I figured it was intentional. Slarty made pets as much like mini-exiles as possible so it makes sense that allowing one to depart would cost it exp like the rest of us.

Who was the commenter on the video?

I omitted some definitions because my real target is CL players, but at some point, I plan to make a "What is Clan Lord?" video that covers everything in more detail.

Though, I'm holding out for some newbie accel first because, without it, there's just no reason to actively try to attract players to CL because we've already seen what the attrition rate is for newbies.

Destian seems to have mastered enough of it to be able to write about in the CLUMP.

I pmed Noivad about doing exactly that a while back but I never got a reply. /shrug

I was the one who commented on the video. It's possible that someone will randomly find it on YouTube and wonder what the words mean, unlikely as it may seem. If no one who doesn't play CL finds it, no harm done.
