Feature request: Clanning doesn't seem to remember where the window was open on last quit, at least on a 2 display setup. It'd be great if it did.

Announcing Clanning
I've done a bit of testing and it seems like Clanning hits a Gig of real memory and about the same in VM used within a couple days of run time.

Announcing Clanning
I'm back in classes, which (sadly) take precedence over Clanning. I'm still planning on releasing 1.5 soon. The Windows version will follow after that. But, I can't give any solid timeframes since I don't really know when I have free time yet.
That being said, 1.5 is very close to competition and will offer some great improvements.
Firstly, I wasn't completely satisfied with how the current version of Clanning handles Crius and Koppi notifications. When these notifications were on they felt too spammy for the amount of information they give. I was trying to use Clanning often with all of the notifications on and I felt the constant Koppi spam was more annoying than useful. So, I've added more control to these notifications. Here's the new notification preferences panel:

Whereas the previous notification preferences were very terse, I set out to make a very verbose, easy to understand menu for 1.5.
And of course, VIPs are being added. So, you'll be able to turn off log on and log off notifications for all players and still receive notifications for these select people (The name comes from the feature in Mail for iOS that does the exact same thing). Here's how it looks in the new version of Clanning (which, again, is very close to competition):

Classes have wrapped up for the semester and my copy of Xcode is hopping up and down again. A new version of Clanning should be available soon. I've also started work on a new CL related project that I think everyone will find very cool. It's a very community based project, but I won't say much until I have more to present. Thanks for the continued support!

It is web based and completely unrelated to Clanning.Talas wrote:Webbased? I was hoping you could work on a port to Windows. It sounds like a really fun programme, but I can't use it right now!

Thanks for the enthusiasm for a Windows release. I do have a decent amount of work put into a Windows version of Clanning, though I haven't fiddled with it in a few months (It looks so old now!) The largest factor currently hindering that release is that of a proper notifications system. If you've been following the past few releases of Clanning you'll know that notifications (via Growl on OS X) are a huge part of Clanning. While Growl is the standard for notifications on OS X, Windows does not have anything as ubiquitous or frankly as good. I've looked at a lot of notification systems and haven't been pleased with any of them. If you're more familiar with the Windows platform than I and have recommendations feel free to PM me, I'll definitely take a look.
Of course, there is no timeline for a Windows release but it is in the works.
Apologies for the delay on the Snow Leopard version's release. 1.5 is quite a large update (mostly under the hood) and I currently don't have access to my Snow Leopard machine due to some lost parts in a move (I've ordered replacements). I don't really feel comfortable releasing without it. A release is planned "soon".
Random note for Mountain Lion folks: I previously stated that Clanning would be updated to use Notifications Center in Mountain Lion. I currently feel that Growl is a better system for Clanning to use. If this update does occur, Notifications Center will not be used by default.

I'm using the snow leopard version. I noticed that when there are a lot of people out (yay!) I can't scroll the list but have to make it longer in order to see everyone. Can that be fixed or is it something I can do and don't know how?
