Full Bard Audition Request

by xepel » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:26 pm

Sorry, I've been busy and thinking about this.

My best times are Thursday nights, Fridays, and the Weekends. Monday-Wednesday are right out. I'm thinking of more of a weekend date since those seem to be best for other people. Maybe something like 7pm (1900) EST on a Friday or Saturday - I'd like to fit in people like Ojesi, and you said you were flexible. Only thing now is picking an actual date - would you want something soon/very soon? Or give people time to plan to come?

How about this Saturday at 19:00?

God willing, it'll go well!

Can always make a visionstone in case someone else misses it.

This Saturday is super soon and actually not going to work, since I'm going to be visiting friends who live in the stone age (and therefore may not be able to make it out of the library). Next Saturday would be better, then we could put out Koppi messages and such, etc, etc.

And I assume you mean 1900 EST?

Yah! God willing, even next saturday will work! Whenever is fitting for you all.

Just let me know when you want me to be there.

19:00 est seems like a good time doesn't it?

If it is, let it be so!

Yes, this is going to need to be postponed. We'll set a Saturday soon, though.

(OOC: My spring break starts on Friday! I can't commit to being around this weekend.)

No. Every Bard can come and be a judge, but if you have no Bards, you can't have an audition. That's why they try to plan them ahead so people can come, and also an audience can come and listen.

Also, only Bard Masters can promote people from Quester to Full Bard. Considering I'm the only active Bard Master, that limits auditions to when I'm available.

A long, arduous process involving journeys through the desert, ritualistic brain conditioning, and chopping down a forest with a herring.

In other words, it's a position that's earned, not sought. There is no audition for it. It is for those who are trustworthy enough to not abuse the position as well as who have shown themselves to be engaged enough to be useful in the position. The Guild usually has just enough so that everyone is covered in terms of their audition needs. As we have fewer people wanting to audition these days, we get by with fewer Bard Masters.
