Macros and Windows

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I've been having a little bit of trouble with using the { include " " } command with macros.
I'm running windows 7 and I can't find a good way to get more than just default and character names in my macros.
I suppose I could copy the kind of file and then rename it, but I was wondering if there was a more elegant solution. Since the include command doesn't register .txt files, only whatever kind of file default seems to be

What exactly are you typing in to include?

The Default file is a text file, just without the dot 3 letter extension.

If you were going to include a file called macros.txt you should have include "macros.txt" in its own line in the character or default file. If it's a mac made macro, change its extension to .mac and the include to reflect that too.

I'm using Windows 95 and have had no problem with include files and can include .txt files such as include "Sharecads.txt".

What errors are you getting?

I wish I was joking. Believe me when I say I wish I was using any other computer but at the moment I have no choice.

My new iMac died and I can't afford to get it repaired or buy a new one so I was using my trusty PowerMac G4 (upgraded) until one day when I took it to a friend's house it just stopped working. The friend gave me this Necrocomputer which sort-of works aside from it occasionally restarting unexpectedly. Geotzou gave me a PowerMac equivalent to the one I had before but without a modem so until I can get/find/buy one I'll have to connect to the Internet using this one. I'd love to buy a new computer but until I can find a job I have absolutely zero money.

So yes, I am using Windows 95. Does anyone know of a job opening in the Seattle, WA area or better yet in Kitsap County? :D
