I was sort of hoping that bard parts would tend to spawn in one location over another so I could go visit them. As an example, if I thought that reeds spawned in the marsh I could go through the marsh just to see if I could come across some. Otherwise, there'd be no reason for me to go to the marsh. But if the bard parts can spawn anywhere then I can't do that. Oh well!
Anyway, the audition was great and the new music the questers played was great. Hearing old favorites from the bards brought back a lot of memories as well. Bards should play more often!

Oh, they certainly do spawn in certain places over others. Clay and Reeds are found in the Marsh, including the Meshra areas. Judder and Tremolite (for vibra and tuborn respectively) as well as the bone are found in the mountain passes. Broken Orga Drums and internal organs are found in orga areas and tanglewood. Silvery Shells are found near the beaches, like the north and south beaches on the western shore. Strands of Falinea's Hair are usually found in the Savannah. Steel pots are found in the brambles in trool town only. Luck Bone, Tor Shell, Torjo Shell, Fine Wood and Starbuck Antlers are found in the forests around Puddleby, North, South, and East.Jeanne wrote:I was sort of hoping that bard parts would tend to spawn in one location over another so I could go visit them. The chances of finding one of the parts, however, is pretty low. I looked for parts actively for two OOC years and only ever found one. However, since there are less people around, maybe you'd have a little better luck.
Glad to see you there, and glad you enjoyed it!Jeanne wrote:Anyway, the audition was great and the new music the questers played was great. Hearing old favorites from the bards brought back a lot of memories as well. Bards should play more often!
And yes, we should play more often. Poke at bards when you see them. ;)

Oh I'm sorry. I was replying "yes" for the "Do you have to be lucky to find them?" part. It's not like trying to get a uli, where you know where they are, and where they seem to spawn with some regularity. I've probably seen 5 bard parts picked up in 12 years.
