automatic 'mark as read' not working

by zen » Thu Apr 15, 2004 11:38 pm

Anybody else having this problem? I read a topic, but the new posts since I've logged in continue to show as 'unread'.

I'm clicking on the higher level topic to get out, not using the browser back button, just to save you smartypants out there from making that suggestion. And I've changed zip in my profile.

If it's just me, that's ok. I'll just pout for awhile and give myself a time out.

If it's everyone, fix it. It's annoying.

Working fine for me.

On occasion even when I click on a link, it will load the page out of cache instead of downloading a new copy. Hitting reload usually works for me.

You can trying quitting your browser and restarting it to see if that works.

Are you using Safari? If so, that's one of its...features. I have to do frequent reloads on certain pages to get it to realize there's fresh content.

IE works fine, though. /action shudders.

I'm using Safari and never have to relaod pages for new content. It's been working flawlessly for me in the Sentinel.

Not using Safari, at least not usually. Although it is set as my default browser.

However, DOH!, I figured it out. I turned off cookies...forgot to turn 'em back on.

No, I was NOT visiting porn site, for you enquiring minds who want to know.

If reload doesn't clear the cache, then control+reload should... oh wait.. maybe it's different on Macs.

Shoot.
