It would be nice if people in the IC forum stayed IC, but folks seem to be having problems with that. I guess I could start PM-ing everyone who clutters up the forum with OOC stuff asking them to cut it out, but I think a bit of moderation would go a long way.

I wouldn't think that having a GM as moderator would be appropriate for an IC board.

I'd recommend Sareth, since he's the specialist with the book and all!

By saying "nominations and votes," I think she means "bribes."

I agree, Sareth would be an excellent choice.

I agree the IC forum is for being IC, but... but... it's hard! Especially when so many things border on the IC/OOC and include a healthy dose of both.



Imagine if in turn, we avoid being IC in the OOC forum?

I do have a question though. What exactly does that mean? Will a post that is deemed not IC be deleted? Will we be given a chance to defend it or to modify it? What are the limitations of the moderator.

Another vote for Sareth here. I'm rarely IC although I do try to keep quiet around those that maintain & represent, so it's kinda moot for me.



Shaky asks a good question. What are the penalties? Are we signalling the death knell of the IC forum? If scofflaws break character, and are subsequently quoted what happens then?



The irony here is that Sareth can't take the RPNazi title (we should find a better title) in to the lands. How about Seargant Major? Then he can set us all up with the classic, "Do you know what three up and three down mean, maggot?" Lord I hope I got that right.

Well, as Moderator, he'll have the ability to delete a post. Once deleted, it can't be retrieved.



As far as defending a post, I would suspect you'd have to do that in the OOC forum since by its very nature, it would be OOC.



Now you can see why this GM doesn't want the job.

As to me being a moderator, um, keep in my mind I won't be home for another couple months... My internet access over here is somewhat limited.
