I am pleased to announce that the Newbielympics have been set for Monday April 13th-Sunday April 19th. Opening ceremonies will be held Monday evening (EST) followed by the first event. Other event times TBA. Closing ceremonies will be Sunday evening, some time after the Open Hunt.

For ALL who want to volunteer to help with events, judge, donate money or prizes, there will be a newbielympics meeting Saturday April 4th at 2PM EST. If you are unable to make the meeting time, please contact me in the lands or reply here with how you would like to help. I will be collecting/holding prize donations as of now. We are also seeking bards for the opening and closing ceremonies.

Updating the details on my event- my Hide and Seek will be hosted at 12pm PDT (3pm EDT) on Saturday the 18th. I will need approximately 5-7 volunteer hiders who can commit for the event- it should take about 1-1.5 hours for the full event. Please post or contact me via PM if you wish to volunteer to be a hider for the event.

My cousin Therian, who shares the same PWC as me, will be hosting an event:

Marathon Footrace: Wednesday, April 15th, 8pm Eastern
Description: A long footrace from bard's field to TC, to the far border of east forest, and back to bard's field again. The details of the route will be posted ahead of the event.

~ at least one Bard to provide music for opening and closing ceremonies. I'm scheduling Opening Ceremonies for Monday 13th at 8PM EST, with the first event to follow immediately after.

Due to some changes in personnel, we are cutting out a couple events. Remember, each event host is in charge of their own event. Thanks!

1. Trivial Pursuit
Description: contestants get asked a question about the area and are then required to make their way to that area based on the hint they have been given. They would then receive a new hint and go on to a new location. The first person to the final location would win. (I've written some questions for this)
Volunteers: Cammie, will need 3-4 volunteers
Time: Saturday 18th 8PM EST
2. River Tunnel Boat Race
Description: A race from the entrance of the river tunnel to the exit at crawlers revenge. Push/pulling will be allowed during the race. done in heats of three, elimination style...although this depends somewhat on how many newbies we get for the event.
Volunteers: BKC, ? (I can be other volunteer)
Time: Tuesday 14th 8PM EST
3. Puddleby Jeopardy
Description: A list of questions on various topics related to Puddleby. Just like in real jeopardy, questions could be worth certain amounts of coins. Someone would have keep track of who got which questions and how much money they had one. Coins would be handed out the end as the prize. (Questions need to be written!)

4. Footrace in East Town
Description: It is the foot race in the east town arena. Normally it is timed for the sake of setting town records. However, in our case it will be heats of 2, elimination style since only two racers can compete against each other at a time.

5. Scent Challenge
Description: This event is from the basement of the healer hall. Most scents gathered by contest wins.

6. Haiku Contest
Description: A topic is given, they get a minute to write a haiku, then a panel of judges votes which one wins. Repeat until someone has 10(?) points. Must be proper haiku form.
Judge: Creed
Time: Sunday 19th following the open hunt
7. Hide and Seek

8. Marathon Item Hunt
Description: Newbies have to find 3 items and return as quickly as possible. In the past I've allowed them to take up to 24 hours or more, and master/mistress level exiles had to find 3 different items from 3 different categories, while newer exiles could find any 3 different items.

9. Myrm Lure
Description: This is a team event and takes place in E field north. Each team gets a fixed amount of time to lure as many Myrm as possible from the hive and then across the bridge in the northern East field. Different points are given for different Myrm types. whichever team gets the most points in the time allowed (or before all falling) wins. The only help I'd need is a fighter to kill the myrm after they cross the bridge. Teams should not get any help healing of fighting while west of the stream or in the myrm hive.

Can you update my event (Hide and Seek) to list that Creed is volunteering? I also could use you as a volunteer for the event if you can make it Cammie. Could still use at least 3 more volunteer hiders! Hiding is fun! Just PM me if you want to volunteer.

Therian can volunteer for any event except on Monday or Tuesday. She plans to attend all scheduled events that she can, so she'll be there to be recruited if needed.

She's still seeking 2 volunteers for the Marathon footrace on Wednesday evening. Volunteers would have to wait at race checkpoints to be pushed/pulled by the contests as a touch-base requirement.
