My suggestion is to make copper ingots something that builders will accept. They currently will take coins, stone, logs, and iron.

Donation materials are having a lot of competition lately. Copper ingots are selling much lower than a log of wood or a lump of stone.

Yes please.
If they take iron, why not copper? Hrmph.

Why not all Ingots? It'd give them a use if everyone already has armor. And anyways, who doesn't love a gold plated cave/house/road/ect?

I'll work on this. It's not that hard to modify the script. It's harder to balance what each ingot is worth in wood.

Wacky... I have always been under the impression 1 iron metal was the same donation value as 1 log.
And thanks!

Iron should be worth way more in logs than it is now. But then again, I don't know how high you'd have to make the value of iron to make it acceptable to donate - iron has far more value other than as building material.

I think they should accept all types of ingots, gold and tin also.Eldon wrote:I'll work on this. It's not that hard to modify the script. It's harder to balance what each ingot is worth in wood.
Don't worry about the balance of what its worth, things happen when they are ready anyway

Yep..that was my plan. It'll be in v588. It'll accept all types of ore and all types of metal. They treated equally according to their types. In other words, hold on to your really valuable ones. It's not a good deal to donate those (except to a newbie.)Fundin wrote:I think they should accept all types of ingots, gold and tin also.

Hrm, a little confused. You said:
But then you just said
I think they should only accept metal in ingot forms.
And I took that to mean each metal would have its own donation value. Like copper ingots would be worth 2 logs, a tin ingot 4 logs, a gold ingot 8 logs..(or whatever)Eldon wrote:I'll work on this. It's not that hard to modify the script. It's harder to balance what each ingot is worth in wood.

So all metals have the same donation value, but its higher than wood? A copper ore has the same value as a copper ingot and iron ore, and piece of metal?Eldon wrote:It'll accept all types of ore and all types of metal. They treated equally according to their types.

All types of ore are treated as (iron) 'ore'. All types of metal are treated as (iron) 'metal'. Maybe I'll change it later to have varying values, but that's more effort than I'm willing to put into it for this update.Hoggle wrote:So all metals have the same donation value, but its higher than wood? And, since builders accept ore now, it makes sense to allow them to take all types of ore.

Oh, interesting. I had no idea iron ore was accepted by builders.

Just curious, not planning to donate these, but are Judder and Tremolite also included in this?
