Jeez, you guys don't get it. Eldon said he'd talk to Joe about it. This means a conversation. So Eldon writes up his question, hands it to the Pony Express rider and....Althea wrote:So its so great DT has a new webpage... looks like all the ordering/account maintenance stuff is in place...

Give it time.

I've given it 10 years so far. So I'd love to hear what the next steps are and when they are going to happen.Maeght wrote:Jeez, you guys don't get it. Eldon said he'd talk to Joe about it. Maeght, GMs don't need you to defend them at every moment.
And yeah, I'd say it's pretty universally agreed upon that the game needs advertising. However I also feel that the demo system still needs to be fixed in order to really keep characters in the game. Let them acquire the lust for RANKS.

i'd have to agree, advertising would breath some new life into CL.
heck, i might even renew my old account if i felt there was some solid potential in increases of CL player-body.

It wasn't exactly a defense, but I've already been advised "not funny". Thanks for the second.Daimoth wrote:Maeght, GMs don't need you to defend them at every moment.

I've offered once before and I'll offer again. If there is anything I can do to get this rolling or help in any way (besides bitching, obviously), let me know.
I miss the days of logging in, going to Noids knowing a group would be there without asking. Not advertising is essentially accepting a pretty sad fate for this game, IMO.

Clan Lord is like the Aral Sea, people are taking more water out of it than it can replenish, therefore it will dry up eventually. Advertising could act as a fresh supply of water, this replenishing the clan base.
My question is: does Joe even want Clan Lord to survive at this point, or is he deliberately letting it just die slowly and painfully like a terminally ill patient? And if he does want it to survive, why in god's green earth is he not doing something serious to save it...like advertising?

Sorry to disappoint you yet again, but Ann has already created an account for text advertising. It should be running now. The next obstacle would be for someone to click on the ads.Cinnamon wrote: Seriously.

We'll do banner ads next but that'll take longer to set up.

I don't know if I am the only one, but what does this mean? Account like monetary account or game account?Eldon wrote:

I'm a complete newbie to advertising, but I've been told that you create an account, put money into it, select your keywords/phrases/etc., then you tell it to run. That's been done for text advertising. As for banner advertising, we're still working on some issues.Turalyon[DaTz] wrote:I don't know if I am the only one, but what does this mean?
