The submissions for the T-shirt design contest have been posted.

Many thanks to those who participated in this contest and submitted such excellent designs. The results will be announced on January 23, after some time for discussion here and on comp.sys.mac.games.adventure.

I will be the sole and final judge, and although I'm interested in the poll and in hearing everyone's opinions, I reserve the right to overrule them.

You can read the contest rules and prizes in the Announcements forum.

"Got Horus?" is definitely my favorite, although if I were picking a shirt to wear to advertise the game I'd go with "Together we fear nothing" or "You have much to learn" as I think they'd make more sense to someone unfamiliar with the game.

Get Horus wins for sheer amusement appeal. Though they're all nice

Tough choice at first, but after a little thought, I settled on "Together we fear nothing".. The ones with the dead thoom don't appeal to me because Orga Camp and Horus aren't going to mean much in the sense of "dead thoom" to those not playing CL.. Same goes for the "I cad" etc one.. I like the line "You have much to learn" a lot (probably the best of all), but I think it would be better suited for an image of a trainer/old man saying it as though he were looking off the shirt at you. Also, I think the "iFriends" thing might violate a copyright or something, I think I remember a company or sub-company service called iFriends around somewhere.. (Though I do also like the font which "www.clanlord.com" and "Ifriends" is put in.. I think that the web address should be added to all of the versions.)

Oh yeah, and I really really don't like the font that "I cad" and "Got Horus" are in. It has zero character and easily bored me.

All in all though, some very good entries. I only wish I wasn't lazy/busy enough to put in my own! Take my comments with a grain of salt.

Id go for the "Together we fear nothing" although the "You have much to learn" is by far the better catchphrase, the I cad, I brick, i whiff just doesnt mean anything outside of CL.

No other game that i know has any concept of cadding because all their healing is generally one shot from a distance anyway, bricking is generally refered to as tanking and they have no concept of whiff, if you miss you miss if you hit you hit.

And maybe its me but that Got Horus one just confuses me perhaps that joke never made it over the pond.

That reminds me.

You were planning on international shipping wernt you?

Some good designs there though, the only thing i could think of was a blank shirt that said "Cadders do it from a distance"

I'd go with none because they're either stupid or in game jokes. I mean they're all super cool make sure they have the website on them to.

Wow, awesome designs! My favorite design of the bunch is "Got Horus?" People probably aren't going to know what Horus is, but it's a nice way to strike up a conversation.

"iFriends" and "Together we fear nothing" are really nice, but I'm not sure I'd wear a shirt like that in public(it would brand me an even bigger geek than I already am :). "Why did the Thoom cross Orga Camp?" has too many IC references, IMO.

Personally, I wouldn't mind getting any of the shirts, without the slogans. Perhaps you could throw in the word "MMORPG" so the shirts make a little more sense to strangers. I also agree with Xel that all of the shirts should have to url for clanlord.com.

Finally, my own design suggestion: Have a small "You have much to learn" image over the left breast pocket, along with the "Clan Lord" label and the url. On the back of the shirt, in big letters: "Remember to eat and sleep!"

The striking resemblance to myself by the mystic in the "you have much to learn" shirt makes it a clear winner. Only I would be hitting. Yeah.

iFriends is a porn site, so not only might that be trademark infringement, it's probably also bad advertising.

My vote is definitely for "Together we fear nothing."

It's the only really 'accessible' one.

Yup, take the bubbles out of the "much to learn" and it looks like a better design, to me. I'm guessing that the selection of phrases was intended to be alien to non-clanners, which is fine by me. I just think the overall design is brought down by the bubbles.

Of course, the text could be changed to read, "Cad, brick, whiff...you have much to learn."

I think the weakest one is "why did the thoom cross orga camp?" I just don't get a connection between the pic and phrase.

While *I* prolly would not wear a shirt that says "together we fear nothing", it is really in the spirit of clan lord.

Oh and hey! Maybe the fact that iFriends is a porn site (someone said) is a selling point!
