I've been around since v27, so I'd estimate that puts me at just over ten years. Is that really possible?! Doesn't seem like it's been that long...

V60's I started.

It was in the v40s, don't remember the exact number. I stopped for about a year right around the time CL became a pay game then came back and been playing since then.

I wish there were some way to figure that out, but as far as I can tell there's nowhere to check when a character was created. That'd be a nice thing to have on the account portal.

I am from around v200. (not sure if daimoth is, though.)

Over 10 years. Started before I got married, the ripwar was during my honeymoon. No idea what version.

Not only is it possible to have played it for 10 years, but it has me thinking about the next 10 years. Do I really want to spend it waiting for GMs to stop playing Exile Lord? I'll see if I'm motivated to play at all before my account expires. Otherwise, I'll be seeing y'all when I can be one of those freeloaders.

There is now; it's a phantasmonomicon skill. (If your character is from pre-rip war it doesn't work though -- it just gives the day Adytum was found. I'm guessing DT doesn't have records of beta character creation times.)

v65-ish for both my characters.

I think I started early 2001, which if I don't let my Zo brother do the math should work out to 7 years.

I started on a Performa 577 with I'd swear something like a 32mb hard drive.
Then a Rev A iMac.
Then an eMac.
Now my Vaio laptop.
Hopefully soon a 15" MacBook Pro.

I started playing early Alchera. When whenever Alchera died, that's when I started playing CL.

Started in v26, as a sylvan named Murk.

I think I started in the v60s or v70s, no later than that. My second character was Xepel, after I forgot the password to the first one. Oops.

Pretty much been playing consistently since then, though with different characters.

The records exist, but it wouldn't be very IC in light of the Ripture War.

It would be very IC, because the ripture wars happened and only reset our ranks. It's not like we ceased to exist weekly. Also, there was one pre-rip reset (the server fire) since I started -- v39-42ish. If you could dig up the records and pop then in an npc that could tell you your birthday and have that NPC SS, "Happy birthday, Xepel" when you log in on that day.

Oh yeah I took a 6 month break in 2002...
