Basic Healer Survival

by Illora Mone » Thu Mar 20, 2008 5:05 am

Lundi, the 63rd Day of Spring 570, at 9:32 PM
(Saturday, March 22nd, at 9am Pacific)

I am offering a beginning Healing course for new healers, starting with a short lecture on surviving (sharing, toggling, healing, running away), then moving on to a panel of advanced healers who have agreed to share their knowledge. Galadriel, Lorikeet, Revelor, Suu'ub III, and Xenos will be available to answer questions both general and specific. The class will be held in the healer classroom of the Puddleby University, just east and south from east field south.

The class will be geared towards first and second circle healers, higher circle healers are welcome to attend but risk boredom by doing so.

Class was good, Revelor, Lorikeet, and Phroon handled questions expertly. Students were Sophia and Retolyk, with Ocyx and Mazuian also in attendance. A recording will be made available as soon as I know how.

Thanks so much, both for organizing the class and recording it. I missed attending, so now I can try to get some healing info from the recording.

Ah, and speaking of that, I'm thinking about teaching a class on my own too and about moonstoning. I do have some insights about that which I would enjoy sharing with my fellow moonstoners, like all of the crazy tactics that I use with it. It's been a long time since I last taught a class and I would like to do it again.

I think all you have to do is pick a time, put a notice here, put a notice on Koppi, and remind people in game.

Edge Lunos would like to attend, she sent a message through Agratis that she'd be back soon.

Ah, sounds good there, thanks. Hey, I suppose that means that at least one student will be attending, very cool. As for the time and date... I think I'll probably do something like how you did, Illora; a weekend during the morning. I don't have a definite date yet, but Saturdays do work for me. I'll continue to work on that and I'll be posting any information about that in this thread too.

What happened to Edge? I liked that exile, I hope she just forgot to renew.

From what I know, that does seem to be the case and I've heard that she should be back again soon.

If anyone is interested in holding such classes again, my alter ego and recently exiled Arctikat would be very eager to participate.

I suppose there should be another class, as we've got more tools to learn now. When's a good time for everyone?

Not very nice of you to refer to new healers as 'tools'. I'm sure some of them are very nice.

Weekdays after 7 Pacific Time (10 Eastern methinks), weekends can generally be accommodated accordingly.

And being fresh off the boat (heck, I'm still green [suffering from seasickness] from the trip), I haven't really decided if "tool" is a good part for me, but hey, who knows?
