From TMN:

http://www.thoomcare.com/archives/003026.html

TMN has learned that the following mystics have been demoted to journeyman mystics:

K'vynn, Malkor, Salandra, and Wangah Rah

Over at TMN Skirwan asked who was the victim. We'll eventually know who the victim was when the other three get re-promoted...

My highly-placed spies within the Council have informed me of the 'victim', though StickLord News Network would be highly interested in learning more details. As always, anonymity is guaran... er, promised.

I certainly hope that the remaining Mystics will evaluate their erstwhile colleagues against the current crop of JMs before blindly re-promoting... though I've long since given up on expecting Mystics to live up to anyone's expectations save their own.

Good! The guy just starts clanning again and they demote him. Yay! Lets keep players playing! As for the others... It takes a LONG time to become a mystic and for one group of players to be able to say someone isn't worthy of the rank is just plain stupid. I know this has been brought up before, but I think they went overboard this time.

From what I heard, at least for 3 of them, it was their own choice. Read the comments on Thoomcare.

I don't know how anyone can defend the way mystics are run. Like the court system anything in which the community is expected to act in a certain way will always be rift with corruption and jackassery. Now the court system doesn't really matter, punishments are small however becoming a mystic takes a fuck load of time. (I mean seriously sucking up takes awhile). Why the hell would someone aspire for something that's supposedly difficult when they could lose it simply enough.

Silence is often the best counsel,
Yet silence grows lonely and empty.
A rich conversation fills the stomach,
Setting the mind to rights.

Perhaps as a council it is so,
Yes, each lone feral need not share,
Yet the yields of a pack are far greater,
And there are only so many songs
To be sung with the same voices.

It is with careful ears that the pack listens
For which voices will sing in true harmony,
With melodic dissonance,
Or not at all.

To the bystander,
All may be howling at the moon.

If you immediately know the candle light is fire, the meal was cooked a long time ago.

I am *SO* saving that.

Masters of illusion
Painting ferals
Of paper mache, simulacra
Yowls taken for wolf-cry
None are left that know the difference

Stage masters pulling strings
The trick is in the hand the eye does not follow
Script to the puppet pageant lost
Motions, harmony found in the moment

Ferals howling at the moon
The sun abandoned for the spotlight of the stage
They know their kind
All else torn apart or driven out

Self-satisfaction
The others matter not.
