FYI: You can find a version of the Puddleby calendar on Google at:

You do not have to have a Google account to view this on the web, afaik based on my limited testing.

HTML - display on web
XML - see events in your RSS feed reader
iCal - import into your calendar

So, this is different from the calendar I link to on TMN?

http://cal.puddleby.net/month.php

Do we have multiple diverging calendars?

They are not diverging, the google one is a possible replacement. Not all the posters on Shakyamuni's calendar have entered any info on this calendar, so the google one is not as complete as the current calendar you link to. I'll let Shakyamuni chime in on this.

Please post your thoughts about the google calendar on this thread.

The google calendar automatically adjust the times to your timezone if you are logged in - *edited* Just tested it by comparing cal.puddleby.net to google version. All hunts listed for hours in my timezone, and were entered for another timezone, this is sweet.

If you have events you want to add to the calendar, contact me via PM or my email address listed on my profile. We could use more trusted editors.

I have moved the information from my calendar to the google one. I couldn't find the software to do what I wanted to do, and the google one seems to be doing it.

I am happy to support Inu in her efforts and will be taking my calendar down soon.

Okay. I will change the button on TMN to the new URL ASAP, assuming that is indeed the final URL. Sound good, Inu? Thanks, Shaky.

I am asking for help from EAT & PAG in figuring out the rules for their clan hunt sked. I tried asking in TC, but was going too OOC for all our tastes, so I will ask here.

I received a PM that indicated the sked that was up for EAT/PAG, and PAG were incorrect. Based on that PM and the upcoming dates included I thought that these 'rules' might be correct for the hunt schedule.
Here they are, some are from the PM.

1. EAT/PAG is the first sunday of the month. (PM)
2. PAG is two weeks later (my guess), therefore PAG is the third Sunday of the month.
3. When there are 5 sundays in a month, EAT or PAG or both will have their separate hunts (my guess).
4. PAG hunts are every other Sunday (PM and posted somewhere) - this conflicts with the sked I was given, so I saw this as not really a rule but it just so happened.
5. No hunt is held on a holiday (PM)

The issue with getting the correct sked is that in months with 5 sundays, the PAG (or EAT) hunt will occur one week before the joint hunt. Now April is one such month where this occurs, April 29 is next PAG according to the PM i received. I was also told that May 6th is EAT/PAG. Other months that this occurs in are July, September, and December.

Anyway can I get some feedback on these dates for the hunts. Are they correct? If not then which dates are wrong and what is the correct date. I can manually sked them all if need be and not use the formulaic sked options that google provides.

April 29
May 6 = EAT/PAG
May 20 - pag
June 3 = EAT/PAG
June 17 - pag
July 1 = EAT/PAG
July 15 - pag
July 29 - pag
Aug 5 = EAT/PAG
Aug 19 - pag
Sep 2 = EAT/PAG ** labor day weekend in US, but since CL is global does this count as a holiday where the hunt is cancelled? I assumed it did not.
Sep 16 - pag
Sep 30 - pag
Oct 7 = EAT/PAG
Oct 21 - pag
Nov 4 = EAT/PAG
Nov 18 - pag
Dec 2 = EAT/PAG
Dec 16 - pag
Dec 30 - pag

Thanks :)

I am trying to add the FMOCR sked for the current month. I am wondering, does the hunt start at the moment of the full moon, or is the hunt started a specific number of minutes before the full moon?

thanks for any help

Typically, a group will gather in meadow at about 10-11 AM, and be done by 12:30-1:00 PM, assuming all goes right. Full Moon Noon is the key time for the FMOCRs (it's not a huge secret why, but I guess it could spoil it for some; if you ask me I'd tell you).

I would like to see full moon noontime listed on the calendar for FMOCRs. Thanks!

[Edit:]
However, the times for the start of Full Moon day seem to be off by an hour. I believe that Winds of Dawn is correct (http://www.windsofdawn.org/suntimes.html). The time for the next full moon is listed as being 2:45 PM Eastern, whereas on the calendar it is listed as 3:45 PM Eastern.

(And, ideally, 3 OOC hours would be added to whichever time is correct, to give an accurate time for the FMOCR.)

Odd, because I am using the WoD page to calculate the dates. What I did was set my time zone to EDT vice EST using that option on the bottom of the page.

Edit: I redid the dates and used GMT -2 (to account for adding 3 hours to full moon time for hunt time, then subtracting 5 hours for EST - my timezone). So the FMOCR listed in the calendar is the hunt time, to get full moon, subtract 3 hours. Also the description lists the actual full moon time in GMT, so you can adjust as necessary for your time zone. I have become quite good at doing that in my head given my across the pond friends.

Who has the correct Full Moon times?

I have checked three sites, and their full moon times differ.

Here is what clespia states as the next full moon - have no idea what time zone this is for:
Next Full Moon:
Starts at: Tue Jul 10 08:53:12 2007
Noon is at: Tue Jul 10 11:49:12 2007
Ends at: Tue Jul 10 14:45:12 2007
Here is what Moon Calendar says is the next full moon:
Mon, Jul 09, 2007, 16:48 GMT
Here is what I get from the Winds of Dawn page:
Next full moon:
IC: Day 2 in Summer, 567 (in 16 days)
OOC: Mon, 9 Jul 2007 06:54 am PDT
Can anyone tell me which one is correct? (PDT = GMT/UK-8 )

I am trying to update the calendar with the correct FMOCR start times.
Thanks! :)

The next full moon starts at

OOC: Mon, 9 Jul 2007 14:54 GMT, or 6:54 PDT

with noon at (almost exactly) 3 ooc hours after that. So it looks like your calendar is still fine.

The moon calendar must be calibrated improperly with CL<->OOC time?
