In an effort to reduce spam on the Sentinel, there are now new requirements to getting an account here. During the registration process no profile information can be given. Profile info may be added once an account has been established. And anyone who wants an account here must send an email to Vagile with Sentinel in the subject line and their username in the body of the email.
When someone signs up the Sentinel sends an automatic email to me with the username. If I don't get a real human email with the same username I won't activate the new account request.
This whole spam fighting thing is turning into a real drag. If anyone has any good ideas to reduce the number of spam account requests, please feel free to share them.
