I've been thinking about it for a little while and decided its time to give this a try. I'd like to start a hunting group for 3rd/4th circle fighters. It seems like being 6th circle is the norm nowadays and not too many hunts are at our level. Here are some places that I think would be great to hunt:

Jade Noids
Midnight Wendies
Rocky Cavern
Baltoise (KI waters mainly)
Noth

I'm running a blank on other places. If you have any ideas around that level please post them.

Fighters and healers of all levels are welcome, but keep in mind the hunts will be at this level...not too far above or below it. I'd like to get a group of maybe 5 fighters and 2-3 healers interested. More for bigger places (Jade) and less for places like RC and toise, depending on the turnout.

So, who's interested? I'd like to start out as a once a week thing on weekends, eventually moving to during the week once we have enough people. I'd like for the hunts to be challenging (as opposed to superfighters/healers walking us through) but rewarding.

Post here if you are interested. We can work out the details more once we get some numbers. If you know of someone who can't get on the sentinel but is interested, please post on their behalf.

HH and Snaggy can be good if you have at least 3 healers. Also, you might want to look into finding a mystic as well. A good mystic can extend the groups abilities. I think the optimal CL group is 5 fighters, 3 or 4 healers and a mystic.

If your goal is to hunt for exp, a mystic only slows you down.

Optimal experience group from my experience is 4f and 2h. Full cross-shares and enough fighters to make it more than worthwhile for healers.

Day KI might be good, but with wood the way it is now, you're going to need EP stones, or likely spend several hours searching for enough wood. It's often difficult to find a group that motivated that has that much time. For casual hunting seems best to do cycles of things like MI, Liche, FA, cove, Baltoise, Scarmis, Jades, Valley and repeat. That way you can have people coming and going as they please, while keeping your kill-rate high enough and not needing to spawn-camp.

(noth wouldn't be a bad idea either, if you're into the whole reliance on a mystic bit.)

130% experience for the fighters and 40% for the healers. Yeah, brilliant.

Turalyon wanted experience. I figured he meant it from the perspective of a fighter. It also provides the healers involved more profit than the standard 3f/3h. So yeah, I thought it worked well.

But if he wants to do a 10f 5h hunt, that's cool too. Though no cross-sharing and completely abyssmal kill-rate would mean it would take him forever to progress himself (it'd be rather boring, too. but that's just in my opinion.)

Not everything can be judged by percentages. A 4f/2h group can be efficient enough to make everyone there (yes, healers too.) more experience than a larger group can. Of course that depends on where it is and who is there.

Instead of just thrashing it you could offer a counter-suggestion.

Puni, times are undecided...first I'd like to gauge interest.

Thanks to all of those that responded.

I'm not a max-min kinda guy...I'll take what I can get. I didn't expect to have an optimal hunting group at this level for every area.

If I left mystics out I apologize, anyone is welcome.

Once I get enough interest I'll start trying to figure out what times are best for everyone. Currently PM time EST on Sat/Sun is best for me. Nothing during the week will work (unless I get it set in stone) at the moment, but I am willing to stay up late/wake up early on weekends to do this.

EDIT: I have thought about mystics actually. The boosts can be very helpful when it comes to pushing the extremes of our groups abilities. Thanks for letting me know I left that out.

Yes, 10F/5 healer is somewhat overkill...I'd like it to be challenging. However, differing areas require differing crews. I probably wouldn't venture into Jade Noids without a massive crew unless we had a couple 6th circle plus fighters/healers with us...so 10/5 might happen in a situation like that.

Again, I am just gauging interest. Everyone is welcome...
