I didn't read any of this but I'm all in favor of making changes to encourage more CTF games -- those are great fun. I assume this means supporting whatever idea Gorvin has inevitably come up with.

Well I'm bringing this up again.. because I see so much potential for PvP in this game and it's just going to waste because a huge demographic can't even realistically join in the fun. Had a good player base earlier today but just couldn't pull it together -- not enough Ranger-types were willing.
I think we can shrug off the couple of old vanilla bricks who are scared of ever getting hit in order to indulge the majority who just want to have fun. And it'll mean the difference between no PvP events and having PvP events anyway.
Pleeeease GMs, at least consider it!

Now that I'm a ranger I'm all for it.

Every Exile has a different fighting style and I doubt that the ranger trainers have studied us all in depth enough to tell you where our weaknesses are. Some players might have, but I think the Rangers made it pretty clear they prefer the wilds of the woods over the lolnotbustling of Puddleby.

It should be their decision. If someone wants to be a Badlands-dwelling Assassin-Rogue Mercenary Ranger rather than the typical forest ninny then they should be able to train the ranks to do so.Grok wrote:Every Exile has a different fighting style and I doubt that the ranger trainers have studied us all in depth enough to tell you where our weaknesses are.
