Cinnamon's not a spam bot, he's a highly advanced artificial intelligence created to research the implications of nonboolean logic by disagreeing with everything.

Vagile Vagile Vagile...

Can't we keep forum games? I assume it got nuked for disk space... but maybe a solution is to restart the heavy pages topics like word association after some arbitrary number of pages...

What do you think?

I volunteer to be the pruner.

edit: hey look at that... a new topic.

They're on auto prune. If a thread is untouched in whatever time, it deletes. Are games worth keeping if no one is actively playing them?

But we have been actively playing Word Association and Which Would You Prefer... wtf. Why did those two go away? That blows.

The settings on all the Forum Games are:

Code: Select all

Enable auto-pruning: yes
Prunes the forum of topics, set the frequency/age parameters below.

Auto-prune frequency: 1 Day
Time in days between pruning events.

Auto-prune post age: 7 Days
Number of days since last post after which topic is removed.

Auto-prune post viewed age: 0 Days
Number of days since topic was viewed after which topic is removed.

Prune old polls: Yes
Removes topics with polls not voted in for post age days.
Did those threads disappear before 7 days?

Seemed like it wasn't quite 7 days. I can imagine given those settings that sometimes less than a full week passes before a top gets pruned.

uh ok. I thought those were more active than that.

If you want it mod'd I'd be happy to help.

But whatever works.

I was hoping the community sketchbook could stay as it was enjoyable seeing other peoples screenshots. Such a pitty.

I recommend asking Vagile to sticky it. Keep in mind it may take Vagile a while to get to it.

In the meantime, start it up again and get people to post pics. I have a bunch but I need inspiration as to what I'm looking for. :-)

Absolutely not. Anyone who wants them can get a copy for themselves.

The simple way to keep it on the shelf is to keep playing it yourself. I bet you get a big thank-you from Vagile for not making your problem her problem.

Another option is to put the thread in OOC and ask Vagile to sticky it there.

Ignore Cinnamon, he's a wet blanket.

Actually, screen shots probably never belonged in games anyway.

Is there any way the Community Sketchbook could be moved to the appropriate board or is it gone forever? If so and that place is Town Square it may need to be edited to fit IC standards.
