So what's a good berry & shirt combination for red?

After playing with Stylos the best I have been able to do is:
Purple Shirt
3 Bramble dye
1 Orga bleach
1 Orga dye

Maha gold makes a good base, for the rich folks. It gives the brightest red, I think. Healer white is a cheaper alternative that can yield a very true red with a bunch of dyes.

One of the earliest reds to be created was based off of tan. Add 2 bramble dyes and 2 orga dyes (I believe).

I mucked around with healer white, all I could get was pink.

Maha gold eh? Not the rich.

Thanks Aldernon, I'll run it through the simulatunk.

Maybe I was wrong on that... I swear I've seen some very single-toned bright red outfits. It would make sense for white to be the purest base, but maybe the fabric can't hold the dye or something. :)

The tan formula would probably be your best bet, then. I don't think there's any way out of using 2 orga berries.

You can get a nice shade with purple, bramble dye, bramble bleach, orga dye, bramble dye. That's the least orgaberry-intensive recipe I know of that looks like a pretty standard red (on the darker side, but still very much red).

My personal favorite red is gray with an orga and bramble dye, but that ends up a lot darker and purpler, more of a bloody crimson deal.

You can get a nice red off of a healer-white base by using equal quantities of orga and bramble dye. It's really pricey though.
