When you add a new topic to the Suggestion Box Forum there will automagically appear a poll when you submit with default settings.

Ann did a little of the work in changing the code and Vagile did all the extremely taxing FTPing of the new file.

Is Ann part of Red Quill? No? What has Red Quill to say of someone else enslaving their ... uh ... Vagile?

I heard you guys were thinking of changing "Red Quill" to "scavenger bird feather painted in red and used to scribble things with" :D

Looks like the default poll options aren't working right now.

I'm a little gunshy about adding any mods at the moment. If we had a vanilla installation I wouldn't have been hit by the Santy worm.

Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong? When I try to answer a poll, my vote gets recorded, but it doesn't give me an option to post a message explaining my vote. I have to vote, then go back to the topic, then hit reply to someone else's message. Is that the standard? Is there any setting to allow both things -- the vote and the message -- to be done in one big screen?

Thanks!

I think that's standard, more people vote than post, and not everybody wants to say what they voted and why.

So how do you submit with "default" options? I either don't get a poll (because I didn't fill out a poll option), or I have to fill in all the options. I don't see how to get the standard poll choices. (Or is this something that requires HTML "on". I just noticed that it is turned off at the moment...)

When the board was last compromised, Vagile took out the enhanced options that Ann had added and left them off so that she could update the board more easily (and improve security).

Since then, the phpBB software has been updated quite a few times, proving once again, that Vagile is wise.
