I am trying to update my avatar. I choose an avatar from my computer, I upload it, and nothing happens. Perhaps the Sentinel has a very short memory.

I have also had this issue. and it looks like this after you upload:

if you right click the avatar and hit "View image in new tab" you get the following:

Image

One possibility is that the Avatar directory doesnt have write access anymore. But thats just a theory, I would expect there to be an error when uploading if that was the case.

I sent Vagile a note about this.. Having the same issue.. as well as needing to get rid of my clan affiliation.

Ive never managed a phpbb board, but i have SMF boards and when this happens, it was always a permissions issue to a directory.

That would be my guess too, and I have managed PHPBB installs. Unfortunately, I haven’t set one up in about a decade. I can’t recall if it’d be in tmp not 777 or the image directory. There’s also always the chance it could be something else. Without seeing it, ’tis all conjecture.
